1) Which story did you like the best? The least?

3) Which characrer seemed the most real and stayed in your mind?
4) Would you ever do some of the things that these characters do?
5) What is the significance of the names in the stories such as Anne Stiles, Hazen Forster, Norma, Leonard Vintner, Norman Burr, the Webbs?

WRITERS GROUPS
1) The story "Tornado" is told from many points of view, with one predominant voice. Why do you think the author made that choice?
2) What is the significance of the white horse in "The Turning?"
3) The paintings of great masters appear in Hazen Forster's imagination at different points in the story, "The Turning": Kandinsky, Riopelle, Edward Hopper, Toulouse Lautrec, among others. What is the significance of these images at meaningful points in the story?
4) What signals does the title give in the story, "A Good Belief is Hard to Find?"
5) Is Peter Gill in "Night Class" a sympathetic character? Does your opinion of him shift at the end?
6) In the short story, "Puzzles," do you think that Nell Webb sees a ghost? What is the significance of the chimera in the story?
